Worldwide Community

IEDO, the International Emergency Drone Organization, is an international non-profit association with general interest approval. It is based in France, in the commune of Versailles, in the offices of the Departmental Service for Fire and Rescue of Yvelines. It was created on June 10th 2018. 

It brings together first responders specialized into drone & robotic from several countries, from several public safety agencies or associations.

This community is always evolving but on january 1th, 2024 has more than 850 members (firefighters, police, paramedics, doctors, coast-guards, SAR volunteers) from 58 countries.

IEDO has 3 goals :

• Promote drone & robotics for good

• Support the knowledge sharing between first responders as lesson learnt, experience, best practices,etc

• Organize specific training and skills development for first responders
